Ernest (7695) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 30, 2013
Draft at Honig.
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is light to medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, husks), lightly hoppy (herbs, grass), with a light note of egg.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slighty husky.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Thin, watery, and kinda husky (which gets more and more pronounced as it warms). Otherwise the balance is pretty good and the aroma does have some life in it...but overall it’s just mediocre. Idiosynkrasie (7516) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 11, 2012
500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, firm, frothy, white head. Simple grainy aroma with decent bitter hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, initially backgroundish grassy and slightly bitter hop notes gain weight and remain solely in the finish. jfb (6256) - GERMANY - OCT 30, 2012

50cl from bottle @ Moe’s Sportbar, Bamberg. Clear golden yellow colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells sweetish, a bit malty, slightly hoppy. Tastes nice: some malts, some hops, quite fresh. Easy to drink, nice carbo. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 23, 2009
From barrel at the brewpub. Nice gold color but the head dissipates fast. Nice floral hop aromas. Very herbal, gardeny, and rustic aromas. Low carbonation. Well-hopped. Very dry, grassy, and herbal with a touch of sourness at the end.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, faint grassy hoppyness. Light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, light caramel and faint grassy hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and lightly sweetish, faint caramel and light grassy hoppyness. Sweetish pils - OK but could use more hoppyness. rauchbier (3891) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2006
Bottle, at Gasthaus zum Goldenen Löwen in Hallstadt, Bamberg November 2006. Gold, thin white head and moderate condition. Gentle hops and sweet grain in the nose, full and sweet in the mouth with the grainy maltiness dominating a low hop note. Lingering sweetness in the finish but with a more assertive balance of hop bitterness.

Bottle, 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Clear yellow with a very small white head. Hayish and grassy aroma. Taste is very light malty with a metallic accent and an almost harsh - for the style - bitter finish. Medium body, rather flat carbonation. Draft at the brewery in Nov. 2013: Dull and simple nose of hard lemon candy, hay, fennel seed and a hint of alcohol. Subdued carbonation softly prickles. Firmly hoppy and mildly spicy with a pronounced Spalt punch yielding to a slippery fruitiness. Pils malt is somewhat grainy and raspy as it lends a deeply toasted hat accent amid a muted grassy hop twang. Hint of flowers, as well. Finishes soft and maltcentric, with restrained Spalt and some grainy malt. Pretty straightforward to me. Malt is a tad sloppy and doesn’t seem all that skillfully extracted, and the hops aren’t very dynamic or vital. Middle of the road. Moravius (1290) - Pyongyang, NORTH KOREA - SEP 18, 2014
Flasche aus einem REWE-Getränkemarkt in Bamberg. - Goldgelb, klar.
