Herbal, hoppy nose with light malts. Slightly yeasty note to an otherwise earthy, slightly herbal pils. Good bitterness. Dry, earthy signature.
on tap at the brewery, stop 1 of an 8 brewery walk. a good sign, as the first customers of the day, to see a new keg being tapped after ordering the pils. clear pale golden with a lingering, splotchy head; aroma of freshly plucked weeds, pond water; modest bitterness but allows the fresh, bready malt character to shine; delicious 3fourths (9349) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Draft at the brewery in Tiefenellern. Clear gold with a fine white head. A hoppy, juicy, lemony, sugar cookie and baked cracker Pilsner with respectable cleanliness. As it warms and opens the lemon juiciness becomes stronger and a tart baked bread quality seems to stand out more. Balanced, hoppy, clean malt, cleanly fermented, medium-light body, decent carbonation, some roughness / husks, especially in the back, but overall its enjoyable and seems to be in good shape. rauchbier (3902) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2006
Bottle, at Gasthaus zum Goldenen Löwen in Hallstadt, Bamberg November 2006. Gold, thin white head and moderate condition. Gentle hops and sweet grain in the nose, full and sweet in the mouth with the grainy maltiness dominating a low hop note. Lingering sweetness in the finish but with a more assertive balance of hop bitterness.

From barrel at the brewpub. Nice gold color but the head dissipates fast. Nice floral hop aromas. Very herbal, gardeny, and rustic aromas. Low carbonation. Well-hopped. Very dry, grassy, and herbal with a touch of sourness at the end.

50cl from bottle @ Moe’s Sportbar, Bamberg. Clear golden yellow colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells sweetish, a bit malty, slightly hoppy. Tastes nice: some malts, some hops, quite fresh. Easy to drink, nice carbo. harrisoni (18819) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2016
Bottle from Aldi drunk in a park in Bamberg. Clear bright gold colour lasting white head. An ok pils i guess. A little empty in the malt. Hops are biting enough on the finish to say this is a pils. Biting nettle and floral hop. Yes fairly drinkable to be honest the hoppy finish grew on me. Quack-Duck (9486) - Down South, GERMANY - FEB 9, 2010
bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear golden yellow, large white head. Hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, solid malty base with good aromatic bitter hops with a resiny-herbal character. Very nice!
