Light amber...dark yellow colour...nice bitter aftertaste...quite hoppy body...white head...nice carbonation
Dark gold with an amber hue and a persistent pure white head. Steady, fine carbonation and a medium body. Nose is of cardamom, aniseed and cloves with a bit of rosemary - slight aroma of a witbier. Good fruity malt character too coming through with honey and candy sugar sweetness but it’s dry first in the mouth with the herbs and spices. This broadens into a good fresh apple fruit taste that is freshened up by a really nice smack of coriander leaves. Finishes with the honey and red apple flavours. Very nicely done and a perfect beer to have with a hot curry. jolo (1152) - Uppsala, Sweden, SOUTH AFRICA - JAN 6, 2012
Bottle 330 cl. A slightly cloudy orange colour with a small, short lasting, fair lacing, off-white head. An aroma of caramel, dough, herbs, alcohol and yeast. The taste is light sweet, light acid and light bitter. A medium body, oily and light alcoholic texture, average carbonation and a medium long, light bitter duration. A well-balanced tripel where the alcoholic texture do no take over like in some other tripels.
