Mid to dark brown with an off-white head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. Enough hops to balance out the roasted malt on the palate, a little bit of lingering hop bitterness on the finish. Nicely done Andrus86 (686) - Busselton, WA, AUSTRALIA - JAN 20, 2017
TAP. Cola black pour with small off white head.. Dark burnt malt nose.. Big burnt dark malt backbone, a bit creamy textured, dark choc bitterness, I get the tobacco ,big.. sourced Honolulu beerworks kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - JAN 16, 2017
Totally black. Frothilicious! Medium heavy roasted malt aroma. Flavor starts with dark red apple peel and finishes with chocolate. Interesting HBW signature white head for a dark brown beer again. Capa (3395) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - DEC 5, 2016
Dark. Some roasted notes, light cocoa, a bit earthy. Pretty standard stout. Thin body with high carbonation is a bit detracting. Decent. brucebruce81 (391) - GUAM - AUG 27, 2016
This was a very good stout. You can really taste the caramel and chocolate in this beer. It was still light and malty.

A decent stout, but a little one-note. Pours a not-as deep black with a tan head. Smells good, vanilla, chocolate and coffee. Taste is mostly coffee, and a little watery and one-note, but well balanced. Had on tap at the brewery. Travlr (25746) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 26, 2015

Draft. Coffee, chocolate malt, and ash aroma. Black with small head. Sweet coffee, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter herbal ash flavor. Nice body. Very solid. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 16, 2015
Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Honolulu Beerworks in Honolulu, HI. I didn’t take tasting notes for this one, but remember this being a nice moderate sweet stout with great chocolate and lactose notes. Out of the six samples I had, I think I liked this one the best but was also a bit straight forward. Would recommend though.
