Our rotating single hop DIPA series. We are embarking on a fantastical journey (or dare we say quest) to put a singular focus on all of our favorite hop varieties, one at a time. A light and simple malt base of Pilsner Malt and Oats allow the single hop varieties to shine without stepping on its toes.

This batch of Everybody Wants Some double IPA was brewed with Equinox hops.

16 oz can poured a cloudy gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, dankness, earthiness, lemon zest and light tropical fruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of bread, dankness, lemon zest and light earthiness with a smooth dry bitter lingering dank finish.

16oz can pours a pulpy orange with some tight, white head. Nose has quite a bit of citrus, orange, light passion fruit, some tangerine, mild soap. Flavor is grassier, some pine, there’s some citrus, grapefruit and orange, it’s a touch stale though, a bit of wet paper. Finishes juicy and lightly bitter. Maybe an older can? Either way, not bad.

16 oz can from DrSilverworm. Pours a cloudy, dirty golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big fresh citrus, orange, tangerine, hints of grapefruit especially on the nose, the flavor has the same good citrus character, with more herbal hops, mild resin, moderate bitterness, I am enjoying what they are doing at Hoof Hearted with IPAs and DIPAs.

Can thanks to Megan. Pours an opaque yellow orange with thick creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong pine needles, dank, grapefruit. Medium mouth, juicy, pine, dank, light bitterness, very nice.

Can given by Dr Silverworm. Poured cloudy golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

16oz can, thanks to Nate. Completely hazy darker golden orange color. Thin white head, leaves decent reaches of kind of frothy lace. Citrusy, kind of peppery hop, but not much of the character I normally associate with Equinox, not so clear to appreciate here. Touch of tropical fruit in there. Yeast to contribute a lot to the flavor, little chalky and spicy. Malt is kind of sugary sweet without contributing much to flavor. Light, but crisp carbonation. Light dry. Medium to bigger body. Bigger bitter taste, mild sweet yeasty bite to it. Moderate sweet. Hoppy as an IPA should be, but equinox doesn’t shine here quite like I hoped, Light carbonation makes this kind of smooth, but the bite at the end impedes things. Not bad, but I’m disappointed.

This one finishes rather juicy. Good balance and great character. Hoof Hearted is putting out some great IPAs and DIPAs right now and this one is crisp and clean. Enjoy

Bottle share, well I guess can share in this case, thanks to Rick. Golden straw color with an ample off-white head. Nose is hoppy, citrus and a little grass. Fruity bittering hops, sort of in your face bitter. Lightly fruity.

Bottle share from last night. A nice imperial IPA to break up the endless parade od sours. Thick and meaty, in your face hops, but not overdone, and best of all, tasty stuff. Kudos for the label shout out to "Better Off Dead".

16oz can thanks to rick. Pours out a muddy wheat color with a bubble ring. Nose is great a big hoppy note citrus and a nice sweetness. Taste is more of big hop kick and a little spice with a grapefruit pithy bitterness on the end.
