COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bulging flavors that would normally require a third pant leg. The combination of southern hemisphere hops, a belgian farmhouse ale yeast strain, and oats create a flavor so engorged you may not get your lips around it.

Can thanks to Chad. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is belgian yeast, clove, floral. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, light boozy finish, very good.

Can shared by alexsdad06. Poured cloudy amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium to heavy complex hop and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

16 oz. can from Cappy’s-Norwood. Pours a clouded and relatively flat golden color with a small fizzy white head that vanished after a minute. The aroma has spicy and fruity esters, with citrus peel and floral hops. Stone fruit, perfume, bready and sweet malts. The flavor shows more booze and bitterness. Medium body, low to moderate carbonation, and a malty, bitter, boozy, estery mouthfeel. Probably a bit more of a strong Belgian than a DIPA, though it’s not subtle in either direction.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2016 Can, after a long day at work followed by a few hours wrangling the kids, leading into a late night and early morning. Point being, tonight is a night when a dude needs a beer. I’d dip into the fresh hops luttonm sent my way, but I’m holding out hopes I can share them with some RBians, so this is my jam for tonight. First, Hoof Hearted makes some genuinely interesting and tasty hop-forward beers. But I seriously fucking hate the juvenile bullshit of their naming/art/descriptions. (Except for EWS because singing hamburgers and John Cusack are great). But yeah man, I buy these in spite of this tacky shit, not because of it. If the beer was less promising I’d scroll past every time (see: AtG). This one pours an only slightly hazy burnt orange/copper with a short lived head. No lacing. Aroma brings fruity Belgian yeast esthers, light pepper, alcohol, biscuit and spicy yeast presence. Taste is that of a heavily hopped dry saison, with short peppery finish, only moderate bitterness. Not bretty or funky or anything, just high boost classic saison that isn’t too sweet and has loads of hops. Full body, average carbonation, texture between creamy and oily. Overall: definitely at a stylistic crossroads, I prefer this to the "way too sweet banana and clove American style saison," but don’t dig it as much as a classic DuPont style saison, nor as much as a dry straight-up IIPA. And I get that it’s doing its own thing here, which is cool, and it’s definitely not a miss -- just that the novelty alone is good for a drink, and enjoyable enough, but not enough to bring me back for seconds.

On draft at Hoof Hearted. The pour is a dirty east coast IPA golden juice pour with a thick white collar of head and a pretty decent lace. The aroma is interesting. There is definitely huge farmhouse influence. There is a lot of mustiness and barnyard right up front. A light hop comes in about half way through, but it’s something else. The flavor is a little more hoppy and IPA based. There is a nice citrus to it before the barnyard funk rolls in. It finishes a little malty, but it’s not terrible. The mouth feel is pretty decent. There is a nice medium body and a bright carbonation before it falls off of the tongue. It’s good, but just doesn’t last. The aftertaste is malty and carries a barnyard dustiness to it.

Flight at Hoof Hearted with koleminer20. Aroma is clove, banana, tropical fruit, bubblegum, interesting. Appearance is golden, hazy, white head. Taste is tropical fruit, clove city, yeast, pine. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, resin and yeast aftertaste. Overall, interesting but way off for the style.

Draft to taster at Hoof Hearted. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have Belgian yeast, citrus, pale malts, oatmeal sweetness, herbal notes, grass, some candy sweetness, some earthy notes, dry, interesting but not my favorite from them.
