India Pale Ale. Handcrafted in the Cotswold Hills since 1849

rauchbier (3940) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2016
Bottle conditioned, from Waitrose, Willerby. Amber gold, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Solid citrusy hop notes in the nose with grapefruit and hop resin blending with a muted caramel and malt sweetness, full bodied in the mouth with an initial tang of citrus quickly becoming dry and hop bitter, there is some muted background sweet caramel and burnt toffee notes but hops maintain their dominance and extend into the finish giving it a long dry hoppy bitterness tinged with a slight chalky yeastiness

Bottle - clear light amber, high carbonation and only small white head. Sweetffruity aroma. Initial ting on tongue and in mouth. Taste fruity but overly fizzy.

Malt and easy yeast aroma. The taste is sweet, fruity and watery. Okay bitterness that fills the mouth a weak moment. Cloudy and disgusting taste. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
