COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Autumn. Included in 2011 JDW Autumn Beer Festival. Bottle: Unfiltered.
India Pale Ale. Handcrafted in the Cotswold Hills since 1849
Originally brewed in 2005 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, Flagship is an India Pale Ale style of beer – strong in alcohol, and very hoppy. Admiral hops contribute to a full fruity mouth feel, and a sweet fruity aroma.

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 28, 2013
Bottle. Pours a light amber body with a small, short-lasting white head. Nose is caramel, bread dough, biscuits and hints of red fruits. Taste is bready caramel, grassy hops, smooth malt tones and hints of red fruits again. Medium body, soft carbonation. Fair enough, but I’d think a "flagship" ale would call for something with more "oomph", even for a traditional British beverage.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2013 Bottle. Deep golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, caramel, apple. Flavour is dry, alcohol, malt, hop, apple, caramel. Medium body. Bitter finish. Ordinary beer.

500 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Deep golden to amber colour, low white head, leaves a nice lacing. The aroma has notes of toffee, malts and some fruit. The flavour is more malty than hoppy, with toffee and blackcurrant notes, but not very sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. This is hardly an IPA by any stretch of the mind, but a fairly decent premium bitter. Very drinkable.

gunnar (9761) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2013
Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours clear golden with a tiny white head. Weak citrus and caramel aroma. Taste is medium sweet, caramel with a soft floral hop addition, very weak bitter towards the end. Easy forgotten.

Fra cask på Charlie’s, nov-12: Bronsefarget, litt uklar. Fruktig aroma. Rund, medium munnfylde med litt maltsødme (karamell) og tørt gress. Passe bitter og perfekt temperert.

Bottle. A fluffy, dense, off-white head sits on top of a clear, golden body. The aroma has a note of cooked vegetables, as well as caramel maltyness and some dried fruits. The flavor is rather mellow, but boring. Caramel maltyness, some dried fruits, and a little bitterness. Full body, quite dry, and pleasantly carbonated. Lasting finish. Nothing impressive going on here, but it’s a decent beer anyway. 130119

Bottle 500ml @ Geokkjer

Pours clear deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grass and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Thanks Gabriel for the bottle!!
A Christmas Eve treat. Pours clear light amber with a lofty head that slowly falls. Smell is tart fruity hops somewhat floral. The taste is similar with tart fruitiness, it is floral with a malt backbone. It ends tart, dry and mildly bitter. The body is thicker than I would have expected...almost medium, The carbonation is very nice, crisp though not overboard. Overall a nice English IPA
