Bottle 500ml. @ home.
Clear light medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, malt and nutty notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, abit borring ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Mild fruity hops aroma with a mild spice note. Flavour is medium dry and slight breadish with a light bitterness showing through. Smooth and dry finish. Nice one. Ungstrup (39109) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2003
An amber beer with a bubbly and disappearing head. The aroma is slightly hoppy. The flavor is malty, somewhat flowery. It ends on a dry woodyness and a bitterness, that lingers. It is very drinkable, but not special in any way. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 11, 2009
Bottled. Deep golden colour with mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is nectar, mild honey, some wood and grass along with herbal notes. Flavour is wooden, flowery hoppy, some grass as well as some mild nutty notes as well. Easy to drink and quite pleasant for being only 3.6%. omhper (26061) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - APR 9, 2007
Bottled at Loch Ness, Stockholm. Cloudy reddish amber, rocky head. Caramelly nose with some paper. Medium sweet, light bodied. Some wonderful chewy doughy malt laquered by vague hay-like hops. Medium bitterness. The malt carries this beer, and that is where Hook Norton excels.

(Bottle 50 cl) In my version simply called "Hook Norton Bitter". Pale caramel colour with a small head. Weak malty character and ditto bitterness. But very, very quaffable. A fairly ordinary Bitter. 210301 Beerhunter111 (23784) - Beerland, GERMANY - AUG 27, 2014
Kupferfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht fruchtig hopfig. Geschmack leicht fruchtig hopfig nach Citrus, ansonsten sehr leicht, süffig. Leighton (23125) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 28, 2017
Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has sun-kissed pale bread, a little dough, faint lemon. Light sweet flavour with notes of pale grains, straw, citrus peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. OK balance to finish, some cereal, biscuits, dried dough, hay, mild bitterness. Very basic but it drinks fine. fiulijn (21537) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 3, 2004
Golden color. Unsignificant aroma and flavor, just some barley grains touch (raw barley), quite bitter at the end. yngwie (17379) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 8, 2014
Bottle. It’s lightly unclear, dark golden to amber in color and with a small, white head. The aroma has quite a lot of bready maltyness, caramel hints and some dried fruits. Dms hints and a littl fruityness. The flavor too is on the malty side, bready and wort-ish, with caramel, some dried fruits and a little bitterness. Medium body, quite dry, with soft carbonation. Some bitterness in the finish. Not very good this one, but probably sessionable... in a way. 140608
