Another fine ale from the UK. Nice grassy, herbal, flowery hops blend with biscuity malt and toffee. Very fruity yeast, nice dry well-hopped finish. Nice amber color, little head to speak of. Brings back the sights and sounds of England. A fine session ale.
Quite a decent ale but not exceptional, in my opinion. At first the sweetness is beautifully balanced with the bitterness. But then the bitterness takes over and dominates the later taste and aftertaste. And it is not an entirely likable bitterness, being a bit monolithic and oppressive, with no tang or citrus to it. So that dulls this beer for me. There is a bit of malty backbone, which I like--but the bitterness noises that out pretty quickly. Hoppy, yes, though on the grim side of hoppiness for me. luttonm (6957) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 27, 2017
Bottle in Oxford. MacDowall’s wedding. Soapy, thick head. Dark amber and copper, mostly thin. Quite fruity bitter. From bottle is a bit flat tasting. Bitter. Cherry and orange zest. Ok. DrNosha (2833) - Württemberg, Germany, GERMANY - APR 1, 2017
500mlFlasche. Kupferrotes Bier. Heller Schaum. Sehr schöne Optik. In der Nase nasses Holz, Kork, Malz. Wenig spektakulär. Sntrunk bitter. Dann Malz und Metall. Etwas Weinbrandt und Pilze. Es bleibt ein Hauch Eisenkraut auf der Zunge. Leighton (22812) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2017
Bottle at home in London - sourced via Ocado. Pours totally clear burnished gold with a creamy, mostly white head. The aroma holds lightly toasted pale bread, a little citrus peel, faint leafy hops. Light-medium sweet flavour with basic bready malts, hints of toasted sugars, vague orange, mellow leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, with lightly toasted bread, low bitterness. It doesn’t set the world alight, but it drinks OK. john44 (3456) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2017
Bottle. Clear Orangey Gold in colour. Average foamy off-white head. Fruity; orange citrus. Hoppy; grassy and earthy hops. Malty; bready malts, caramel. Tastes a bit metallic. Moderately bitter citrus fruity and dry throughout. Easy drinking. (2015-09-26)

(Bottle) Pours clear amber brown with good beige head. Nice aroma - herbal / seaweed / tea and some caramel notes. Medium body, good carbonation. Foretaste is a nice mix of caramel and fruity notes. The fruity notes are steadily replaced by a nice hoppy bitterness. Nice beer. Onesimus (107) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 4, 2017
A balanced beer, foremost is the herby giving way to a light malty flavour. Easy to drink.

500ml bottle. Pours clear amber with a one-finger off-white head. Aroma: malty, caramel, fruit. Taste: sweet fruity malt, caramel/toffee, citrus, some bitterness but the finish is actually sweet. Medium-full body, smooth mouthfeel, good carbonation. Oleg85 (264) - Yaroslavl, RUSSIA - NOV 3, 2016

Bottle. Bubbily little head, bronze. Strawberry and malts aroma. Fruity and malty with a nice dry finish. Not your typical English bitter, light and tasty. Super drinkable and something I could definitely session. Thanks for sharing @kapusil !
