Bloody nice strong dark ale. Not that strong really, but enough to not be to weak. Would buy again for sure. Oh yeah, it’s English.

Cask. Just comments and numerals due to social interaction. Dark mixed fruits, caramel, rich complex malt for such low abv beer.

500ml bottle. Dark brown appearance with a small dissipating tan head. Malty aroma, caramel, earthy notes, dark fruit, hint of chocolate. Taste follows the aroma, also a slight nutty flavour and light roast. Slightly sweet with a lightly bitter finish. matstrange (205) - Kent, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2016
Nice head on pouring with an almost black complexion. Very malty taste with a hint of nuttiness and a bit of a kick at 5.5%. Night_Cap (119) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - FEB 1, 2016

Appearance: Pours a deep, dark brown with red highlights and a lightly tanned, frothy head that lasts well. Aroma is of earthy hops, spiced cookies, dark chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, blueberries and prunes. Flavour is a light earthy/spicy hop bitterness with toffee, chocolate, roasted nuts, sultanas, plums, a hint of coffee and a dry, earthy/roasted finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation and a good length finish. Very well balance and moreish!

Dark brown with a reddish tinge, starting with a decent off- white head but soon looking like Pepsi. Medium body. Very malty, giving burnt toffee and some bitter chocolate. Also nuts and some dried fruits. Bit too much of a tar taste for me.
