Forbavsende meget smag i denne forholdsvis alkohol-milde jule-ESB. Og ganske god.
500 ml, flaske, 5,5 % ABV, BB: 24/10/15, købt i SuperBest i Rødovre Centrum.

500mL bottle from Dan Murphys. BB 29 SEP 16
Good looking beer - deep bronze body, holds a tight beige head.
Malty nose - roast nuts, burnt caramel, golden syrup, treacle, dark plummy esters, some dried fruit and earthy leafy hop character.
Medium bodied, rather dry, slight roast astringency thins it out a slight bit, it has to be said, carbonation perhaps a touch coarse.
Delivers plenty on the palate - toasty malts, browned nuts, treacle, dried leafy/tobacco-like hop note, raisins, plums, earthiness lingers on a dry finish with a strong bitterness.
Packed full of character, strangely alluring and highly drinkable. TorbenJensen (1532) - Valby, DENMARK - SEP 2, 2015
It is a very malty aromatic ale with overtones of nuts and chocolate. The taste is filled with caramel and dried fruit (raisins), light tones of dark chocolate and walnut. Everything is composed in a very simple manner that at no time are confused. Hop bitterness is marking and keep the balance well in check in this well brewed ale. Towards the end, a little notes of coffee and a dry aftertaste. It is simply completed and delicate. TedE (1363) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 28, 2015
500ml bottle into glass, poured at room temperature. Faint smoky malt nose. Dark brown beer with towering tan-coloured head. No carbonation. Slight tingle on the tongue, sweet malt taste. Aftertaste is a bit of raisiny bitterness but quite abrupt and dry. Nice, good for a couple at least. DavidAust (275) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 29, 2015
We don’t get a huge range of English Ales in Australia, and what there is tends to be highly priced. Twelve days meets the market with a decent price for a solid and credible beer. Dark as you expect an ESB to be, decent head with mild aroma hinting of malts and fruits to come. Not too thick and a mild carbonation makes this a well bodied brew; with a mix of sweet malts, bitterness, alcohol and a lingering fruity and current flavour to finish. Actually the temperature you drink this at will greatly increase or decrease the fruit at the end (4-6 degrees Celsius as I like it = less fruit / 9-11 degrees Celsius as recommended by Hook Norton = more dark dried fruit that lingers longer).
AS funny as it may sound, it does taste like a winter’s Christmas in England as portrayed in movies / TV. Great to sit back and sip on its own on a cold day or with a nice piece of chocolate cake or Christmas pudding.

Bottle from SuperBest Ama’r Foodmarket, CPH - dark sienna/brown pour with a nice beige head. Aroma and taste is caramel malty, toffee, nutty, knækbrød, some dark fruits, some nice spicy nuances, pretty satisfying overall. Idiosynkrasie (7613) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - FEB 5, 2015
500ml bottle. Ruby red glowing, dark brown colour ith small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Malty aroma with a nuttily touch, a strange bitter, somehow alcoholic almond note. Taste is nuttily malty, slightly bitter hoppy overtones, a cautious touch of Marmite, subtle malt sweetness.
