Bottled. Clear, deep ruby beer with an aroma of lightly burnt malt and some hops in the background. The flavor is a bit sweet and malty, with a balanced bitterness. Medium to full body and it feels a bit peppery in the mouth. A quite nice englishman. (070216) jtclockwork (17100) - , New Jersey, USA - DEC 9, 2011

Black tea and fruitcake aroma. Very nutty taste, dry too. Good ful body. Long finish with a bit of everything, and possibly some coffee too.
Thanks to Robson for bringing this. For me this beer has the perfect color. Fantastic dark brown with a deep dark red glow coming through. Large lacy beige head. Smell malts, nuts, raisin and caramel. Taste is just English bitter. Carbo and body ok. Nice beer. Dedollewaitor (16315) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 16, 2013
Bottle @ Y.N.W.A Beershop, Kolding. Pours ruby amber with a small off white head. Rich malty - caramel, nuts, fruit and a mild spicy note. Smooth with a rather low carbonation. Pleasant.

Bottle, 5.5%. Clear dark brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour starts off roasted with a little barley bitterness. Turns more malty and mellow, but ends with a little new bitterness. bhensonb (15612) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 2, 2009
Bottle. Ruby color with a thick beige head. Spice & roasted caramel for aroma. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Rich caramel with citrus and spice for flavor. It is suggestive of a quad with regard to malt or maybe there’s some chocolate. Finish is astringent more than anything else. I’d drink it frequently, were it available. gunnfryd (15175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 11, 2007
