Ice Wharf, Camden, London. Rubyish brown colour with mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, chocolate, some nuttyness as well as some hints of fruits and some earthy notes. Flavour is quite much the same in a nice balance. Nutty and caramelly finish.
I love Hook Norton beers and Twelve Days might be my overall favorite. Its got lots of sweet dark fruit flavor notes and richness. garthicus (2929) - Dublin, IRELAND - FEB 13, 2013
On cask at Porterhouse. Appearance: dark cloudy plum/raisin with a medium dirty white head. Aroma: Sour, rhubarb & cherry, a little lactose with grass and dark fruits and chocolate . Flavour: dark chocolate, a little of the tartness I got in the aroma present, cherry and chocolate, hint of chicory, coffee, good bitterness and tartness in the finish. Quite lovely. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2007
Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. I’ve had this in bottle so wanted to try it on cask. Looks in cracking condition. Very deep ruby colour with lasting beige head. Flavour of rich malt liquorice. It really is rather good. Aroma has some sour dark fruits. Good in mouth. Slightly sweet to balance the sour fruit. Nice hop kick on the finish. Warming English winter beer. Good stuff jlhooker (28) - Dublin, Ireland, IRELAND - JAN 9, 2013
