Cask at the Alexandra Arms, Rugby, 16/12/13.
Chestnut brown with a good sized light beige covering.
Nose is dark fruit, candied orange peel, sugars, fruit loaf, toffee, light spice.
Taste comprises cake mix, toffee, raisens, candied oranges, fruit peel.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweet finale with a little spice.
Decent Xmas beer, actually has some depth to the flavours, not just artifical spice and few spoons more sugar! evergreen0199 (3491) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2015
Cask at William Jolle (Spoons), Northwood Hills. A dark brown/ruby coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Malty, caramel, dark fruit aroma. Tastes the same, malty, caramel, dark fruit, slightly nutty (like me). One of the better UK festive brews available. Mr_Pink_152 (5538) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2016
Tried at the Felix Holt, Nuneaton. Ruby to amber colour with a light beige head. Aroma nutty, malt and light toffee. Creamy smooth body with a light sweet taste. Ungstrup (38382) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2004
[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A deep chestnut colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is quite sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, with only a slight note of bitterness in the end. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2007
A Sim rate (cask at the White Horse): Honey, malt and sweet maple syrup. No head, but brown/amber appearance. Nice tart syrup loveliness in the flavour. Sweet but malt but bitter. Brandy and maraschino cherries. Very nice. Flavour prevails in the finish with sweet syrup.
