COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
A very clean flaxen-coloured beer with wonderful thirst-quenching properties. The subtle blend of aroma and bittering hops give a crispness on the tongue which is delicately fruity, giving way to some dryness. The inclusion of some flaked maize in the grist subtly hints at crisp corn flavours.
Ingredients: Optic malt, flaked maize, wheat malt. East Kent Goldings, Pioneer and Tettnang hops, coriander.

Lifeless, light yellow coloured, cloudy with earthy, cardboard-like taste. Two mouthfuls was enough, unable to drink any more.

Bottle at home. Extremely pale with a thin head. Slight aroma of corn and some noble peppery hop. Sweetish with a little bitterness. Biscuity malt and a sweetness leads to a very short finish. Well-carbonated but a thin body.

Bottle. Yellow Gold. Light-bodied, lemon-citrus, hoppy, lightly malty, lightly bitter beer. Crisp & refreshing. A bit lagerish. Short, dry finish. (2008)

Palme (4823) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 25, 2017
0.5l bottle. A crystal clear looking one with a pale golden color and a huge really lacing and lasting bright white head. It smells kinda skunks and slightly sun damages in the aroma. Grainy also. A tad harsh with wet dog and some vegetables. It’s not super unpleasant but definitely not a gentle or elegant aroma. aroma. Tastes a bit better. Easy to drink with a good amount of hop bitterness. Thin oily in the mouth and it has a below average small bubbled carbonation level. Something dry-ish also here. Soft melon and mild citrus. Was not happy with the aroma but it tastes quite decent for what it actually is. 05.07.2014

Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 23, 2016
Cask @Cloisters, Edinburgh. Pours golden thick-ish white head. Nose is slight hops some biscuit unfortunately big soap. Taste is virtually all soap. I remember this first up as a dark beer many years ago and then the change to a golden beer. If this is the normal beer from Hopback its a real pity.

Sjohnh (1012) - Coventry, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 15, 2016
Colour of pale lager, with a decent white head and even a bit of lacing. Body is light enough to be refreshing without being watery. Citrus hops evident in the nose and these lead the way in the taste too. Bit more malt would be nice.
