Cask (Kuikka, Helsinki)Doppelganger (1389) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - SEP 24, 2008
Classic clean English bitter aroma. Lovely standard refreshing bitter loads of lightly roasted, slightly grainy, malts. and a touch of scotch ale horse blanketty mustiness. Soft bittering hops are quite subtle, but pleasant. Grainy and slightly bitter finish. Very simple, but so tasty and easy to drink.
Cask, Turf Tavern, Oxford. Sturdy copper, just off-white head. Lots of minerals in the nose, sulfer, farmy hops, pound cake. Brisk, full raisin/butter bitterness, blackberries, dry toasty caramel with a rye edge. Light, pleasant, good flavor to abv ratio.
