3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 4, 2003 Amazingly light beer for an English ale. Nonetheless, this straw colored, foamy brew is a good quencher, in the manner of, say, Cooper's Sparkling ale. Aroma is like grass, drying in the sun. Flavor is hop-dominated, crisp and distinctly dry with a grassy hint. I don't mind this stuff, but I think they're paying their label writer extra bucks for hyperbole. Good summer refresher. Yeasty Oberon-like flavor noted also, this is not bad.
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2018 Straw coloured head didnt last long. Slight chewing gum taste hop comes through in the end a bit bland for the abv but fine. p0urmeac0ld0ne (407) - Merthyr Tydfil, WALES - DEC 18, 2017

Bottle from off licence.
Lovely golden ale. Everything is right, the carbonation, mouth feel and taste. It's great. The perfect beer to convert lager drinkers. Thought the 5% abv might make it taste boozy, but it wears it well.
This is highly sessionable, and I'll be buying this stuff often. 8.5/10. deepdrinker (364) - Leeds, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2017

In November, doesn’t taste as strong as 5%, very drinkable Davros IX (571) - Hertford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2017
Bottle at home. I used to love this beer and it is still my sister's favourite. It poured with minimal head and I have to say that it was a fairly bland golden ale in terms of flavour. I admit that I have a cold and that doesn't help matters, but I remember that this used to have much more flavour. It slipped down well while finishing making the roast dinner, but beyond that it was not memorable. luttonm (6953) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 22, 2017
Hawley Arms, Camden. Soapy thick white foam, clear gold. Creamy, blonde bitter. Fruity, some citrus. Nice. AcctError487340 (42) - - JUL 31, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2017 Cask at the Bear & Staff, Leicester Square. Clear light gold, white lacing. Floral, citrus dry, plenty of flavour and highly drinkable. Cracking pint, like it says on the tin, ideal for summer PeatyPete (1113) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 27, 2017
Golden colour with white head. Aroma malt a bit buttery. Taste malt and fruity.
