Can. Near black in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of chocolate syrup and minerals. Flavors are of roasted malt, mild chalk, pilsner malt, and a hint of light roast coffee. Light bodied and a bit savory from the roast and mineral notes. Would pair well with food. Solid. Brettsky06 (446) - Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 22, 2017

Nice and smooth. A touch of bitterness at the end. Great with gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. caramel, chocolate, coffee, toast, roasty, earthy, smoke, woody, GlennHendry (461) - OSHAWA, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 30, 2016
The finish on this beer is mild – like most lagers – but the aroma of black coffee and chocolate is strong. My first black lager and the first black beer of any kind I liked. Nice. kevinsenn (2215) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 29, 2016
Can from LCBO. Sweet milky aroma. Taste is sweet and creamy, with some roasted notes. Solid black lager.

Pours black with a tanned head. Aroma is espresso and dark chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, coco, and dark fruits. It has a medium creamy body with bit of a sweet finish. Really enjoyable. JeongWoo (3) - - JUL 30, 2016 does not count

Draft in Toronto. Black pour. Thin. Cocoa very evident. Definitely not a stout (bartender tried to say was like Guinness). Not bitter. Enjoyable Eructoblaster (4205) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2016
On tap at The Works (Ottawa, ON). Pours a black body with brown glints and an average, beige creamy/frothy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with roasted cereals and coffeeish hints. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries roasty, herbal, and some chocolate notes. Ends with s decent bitter/roasty finish. Good stuff. ametras (1630) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 4, 2016
On tap. Dark brown with a frothy beige head. Flavors are roasted cereals, chocolate and toffee with fruity and nutty notes. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, slick texture.
