From a 500ml bottle on 26/3/2017 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours an opaque dark golden with a small to medium head. The nose is quite fruity and yeasty. Flavour wise, theres quite a bit of sweet fruit, some yeastiness and a prominent, quite salty bitterness. The saltiness is actually quite overpowering. Full bodied, with moderate carbonation. Might be okay if it wasnt so salty.

Gold translucent, with a creamy head, aromas of fruits and a touch of cashew apples. Flavour is very hoppy, bitter grassy, some grapefruit and not as mellow as I expected. Resinous as sap, perhaps it should age and mellow in a bottle to get a more round character.

121116. Bottle from Super Whatnot. This is certainly a big ass beer with a hop explosion in both the aroma and the flavour, this beer is all about the hops. Fresh pine needle and tropical fruit aromas fill the nose and the beer fills the mouth with a strong resinous almost sticky coating. A big beer that needs to be treated with respect.

explosivedog (840) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 22, 2016
500ml bottle. Aroma is sweet and fruity, a little pear, a little white chocolate. Flavour is big bitter grapefruit up front leading into a strong bittersweet caramel finish. Gains a little black pepper character as it warms. Tasty.

On tap at Beer Incider. Just what youd expect, a huge range fruity of hop flavours slapping you in the mouth and a resin finish.

Hoponmate (309) - NEW ZEALAND - SEP 4, 2016
A lovelly cloudy looking beer. Tons of delicious hops but not too bitter as the alcahol taste kicks in. The hops tastes like sweet pine.

Pours cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma is perfumey and floral, with resin, light citrus, light tropical fruit. Taste is mild fruit sweet up front, followed by a rich pine bitter finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.

500ml bottle (Lot 606, BB 3/17). Hazy deep amber with a foamy cream-white head that reduces to a stable film. Pungent fresh green hoppy aromas remind me of an early morning walk in a damp pine forest with incongruous apricot, orange, grapefruit and mango trees nearby. Also a decent biscuity malt base. Taste is piney hops and grapefruit up front with a sweet malt presence on mid palate and a substantial lingering resinous dry hop bitterness to the finish. Medium-full body, lively mouthfeel, ABV consumed. An excellent hop-packed US West Coast-style DIPA.

2nd July 2016
Hazy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, good fine carbonation. Smooth creamy sweet malts, touch of caramel. Juicy hops - ripe orange, orange peel. Pine and hop spice. Resinous tropical fruits. Trace of blackcurrant - maybe Pacific Jade? Light finish Juicy and drinkable.
