2016-05-24. Crisp yellow body nice white head. Aroma of grassy hops, pale malt. Flavour is moderately bitter, grassy hops, pale malt core. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. Enjoyable. 7/3/7/3/14 Sampled on tap at Hop Federation, Riwaka, NZ. mkel07 (6546) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 27, 2016
Bottle from Malt Traders 120316. A nw Kiwi brewery that I haven’t tried before and if this is the quality of all of their beers I will eagerly be searching them out. Crisp, clean and light in the mouth with hints of passionfruit and melon in the flavour.

330 ml bottle. Clear gold capped by a fluffy white head. Grass, lemon and white wine in the nose. Taste is soft fruit at first before a restrained lemony bitterness emerges along with a bit of grass and white bread. Clean finish with a lightly fruity aftertaste. Not bad at all. Rating off memory. This is an ok beer. Pretty generic and somewhat mild hop aroma. Some creamy malt flavour with a subtle citrusy hop background. Decent body and quite quaffable. Nothing special, but it gets the job done. waiake (606) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 27, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 22, 2015 bottle 500ml appealing citrus aroma leading to a crisp & complex taste finished really good with citrus fruity mildly bitter & subtle hoppy flavours Jimthechap (2064) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 22, 2014
To look at it, it does what it says on the tin: it’s golden and has a pronounced flow of carbonation from the bottom of the glass in a constant stream to the top. This contributes to a stable white head. The aroma of grapefruit and lime is appealing along with some grape character. This is manifest in the flavour with tangy bitterness and Meyer lemon. yes, it is a light coloured beer, but it doesn’t suffer from lack of flavour. This contradicts the usual perception that Golden Ales are the airheads of the beer world. Tasty stuff. beer-yum (1950) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 8, 2014
Good smell but thin taste. Pretty sure they can do better and I will try again to confirm.
