75cl Bottle @ Moeder Lambic Fontaines, Brussels. Pours cloudy orange with a small off white bubbly head and lacings. Nose is yeast and spicy hops. Very dry and herbal hoppy flavor. Grass, grain and perfume. Medium bodied. Dry hoppy end SudsMcDuff (8439) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - AUG 28, 2010
Can I shoot? ..Shoot? I’m a hippie. The only thing I’ve shot is acid. I heard of a dude snorted it once. Thought his nose was a kangaroo and the moon was a dog! WOOH! .. a very nice saison, but nothing truly spectacular: mild, refined, a good example and very balanced... . Don’t look! Quick! Think of a yellow, rubber duck! 750ml bottle, best by 4/9/2014. The pour yields a dusky, dark orange-amber colored body with a cloudy consistency. A billowing head of rocky, craggy, cream colored froth fades slowly to a pronounced, bubbly edge, leaving hard, sticky bands of lacing in its wake. The nose is just what I was hoping for, very dry, and loaded with peppery, dusty, grassy hops. Earthen, brett-laced yeast has sufficiently reduced the aromatic sugars to a minimum, as just a bit of balancing grain malt sweetness remains. A very delicate touch of orange peel and perhaps a little coriander lend a saison-like spiciness. Flavors follow suit, showing very rustic, with a dry farmhouse ale base. Toasted bread and a hint of grain malt sweetness are tempered by the musty, earthy yeast, as bold, dry grasses, peppery flowers, and a dash of citrus lend plenty of hoppy bitterness. The palate sports an ample body, one in fact that drinks a bit heavier than the 6% ABV would suggest, yet is manages to stay nearly bone dry and thirst quenching. This beer simply defies classification. Ultra-hoppy, dry Belgian saison? Belgian IPA? Hoppy Belgian amber? Whatever the hell you decide to call it.....I call it delicious. drpimento (3671) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 24, 2010
Hahahaha, love the irony here. If this is a saison, it doesn’t work all that well to me. If it’s a very hoppy amber/IPA, it works great! Anyway, I really like it. Poured with a lovely, cream colored, foamy, frothy, thick head and some lace. Color is a very slightly hazy, medium amber. Aroma is huge Belgian yeast, then malt, hop, a bit of caramel and a tiny bit of skunk. Flavor is like nose, but skunk disappears; caramel, malt and is quite bitter and dry with only enough sweetness to compliment the whole. Body is soft and mouth filling with just right carbonation. Finish is like flavor and slowly tapers to the slight residual maltiness dominated by the hop bitterness. meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - AUG 16, 2010

Well brewed Belgian ale with loads of hop. However not like all those Scandinavian and US beers with grassy, floral and fruity hops. No, just regular bitter hops. Yet still easy going and refreshing.
0.75 l bottle at Tuulensuu, Tampere. Hazy yellow brown color. Toffeish, citrusy and grapefruity aroma. Bitter, toffeish, yeasty and herbal flavor with bitter orange pith. Herbal, bitter and orangey finish. Drinkable yet rich, nice. Ober (2812) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - JUL 19, 2010
A hazy golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of hop bitter, with some flower and fruits. The taste op hop bitter, dry, a little sweet with some spices in the back. The aftertaste is bitter for a while. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 13, 2010
The aroma of a subtley sweet saison so pleasing in the nose. The cloudy golden color has a great foamy head on top. The flavor of a decent saison with a great wild flavor. You get balanced hop notes as well. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 11, 2010
Harvest 2009 bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Deep orangey golden colour with a creamy offwhite head. Good fruity and slightly herbal hop nose. Quite bitter, lots of herbal hop bitterness that lingers on. Still hints of toffee towards the finish. Well-carbonated. Intricate delicacy. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JUL 4, 2010
Sampled on 7/2/2010. This saison pours a slightly opaque medium copper gold color from a 750ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head with nice lacing and good retention. Aroma is floral and spicy and somewhat fruity and sweet. A medium to full bodied saison. The malts are fruity and semi sweet, peaches and apricots. The hops are herbal and earthy. A lot fuller tasting than most saisons, it also has a more distinct herbal character. Must be the hop flowers. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
