Nice smell and taste. Has a bitter finish which would stop me drinking a lot

330ml bottle. Clear copper-brown pour, ample dense beige head. Caramel malts, slightly toasty, fresh pine and floral hops on the nose. Balanced palate, malt sweetness up front, beady mouthfeel, medium body, moderate resinous dry hop finish. A great American-style amber ale. Intense resin, pine, sweet grain malts, caramel, sweet, candied citrus fruits, orange, marmalade, orange peel. Clear, dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More bitter straw, grain and cereal malts, candied citrus fruits, orange peel, marmalade, pine, light creamy texture, creamy orange milkshake, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Decent for the style. Bottle from Purvis Cellars, Melbourne. gafferpom (50) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 24, 2017
Lovely piney aroma. Grapefruit and caramel with hint of vanilla on the palate. Bitterness just eclipses the malt, which is great. Creamy on the back palate.
Great beer from one of the best, I say.

Copper pour with a decent off white head. Toffee, slightly spicy, light fruit aromas. Taste is grapefruit, pine, spice, resin, toffee. Not bad

From bottle in tulip. Pours mahogany with beige head and aroma of berries, earthy hops and spice. Caramel malt sweetness is tempered by hop bitterness on the palate. vanvenlo (1917) - Glen Iris, AUSTRALIA - MAY 1, 2017

330ml bottle. Red/brown, white head. Floral, citrus, piney nose. Minimal bitterness. CurlyJoe (363) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 10, 2016
Clear copper with white head. Honey, hops and rye in aroma. Bitterness in taste is not overwhelming, almost bread-y. Fresh and very easy to drink. Great beer to pair with a large variety of food. LesArgen (383) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 8, 2016
The aroma brings out bread crumbs, honey, a little peach, some musk and a pinch of grapefruit. The grapefruit is strong on tasting, along with plenty of pine, pepper and some peach too. It’s a little thin though it has good length. A nice beer, but not a great one.
