Bottle at Craig’s house. Dark brown with small head. Very hazy. A bit too bitter. Not great.
Bottle. Pours a dark amber. Taste is woody dry hops with a hint of smoke at the end. Medium bitterness, lasting finish. Better than its average score would suggest. Mjp12 (1920) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2016
Sweet complex malt aroma, buttery mouthfeel , with a cleansing finish. I have rated this from a cold bottle, on a warm day, think I would enjoy it more cellar temp , in front of a fire zacgillbanks (5362) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAR 5, 2016

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 30 Nov 2014) Amber colour with brief, frothy head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, orange and apricots. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, orange, apricots, tropical fruit and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Tasty and balanced with a fresh hop character. Quite nice.

Aroma of soft citrus hops, slight gooseberry, touch floral
Taste of caramel malts, soft hedgerow hops, bitter zest hops, quite malty, hops more bitter than fruity
Palate - soft carb, medium body, fairly oily, soft sweet, quite bitter. Finish is a bit dry with a bitter zest linger
Overall - OK, but too much crystal malt in this

Cask conditioned handpump Veritas Leeds 01/05/14. A mid brown coloured beer with a tight white head and lace. Pretty highly hopped with some woody and chocolatey malty flavours. On the sweet side but not oppressively so. A good body. Tasty for sure. Oranges noted. s_hartshorne (2791) - wakefield, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2014
