This newest edition to our double IPA crew is brewed in the same spirit of Alphadelic IPA, but with much more of everything you’ve come to know and love about our year round classic. Pine, citrus, resin, and a whole lot of it with a very dry fruity finish. Cheers!

Clear deep golden hue with a thin white cap of head. Big bitter grapefruit pithy aroma with orange rind sweetness and pale malt biscuity bases. The flavor is surprisingly balanced between pale malt sweetness and a nice orange fleshy Hop tone with a bitter citrus pithy base. Not too bitter but definitely a DIPA in that realm. Juicy and West-Coast bitter and crisp.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2018 From a 12 oz bottle in a mixed 12 pack...very cool! Poured into a chalice ... pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of grains, straw hops, hay, grapefruit zest, pale malt. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of pale malt, grains, white pepper, pine sap, grapefruit rind, toothpaste, amber malts. Overall rich, bold, refreshing, challenging, but tasty. That rating was from 12/6/2017. It's now 1/31/2017 and I'm having a bottle from one of their mixed 12 packs. Once you let it warm up a bit, it's a really intriguing double IPA. A sweet assault on the taste buds, I won't say medicinal but certainly refreshing toothpaste that stands out, and with lots of maltiness. Overall tasty for a hop head!

My favorite beer of all time is the Alphadelic. Imagine my surprise when I crack open the 12 pack mixer and theres a double Alphadelic in there. I’ve died and gone to heaven.

Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy amber color, small frothy head. Some caramel and resiny hops aroma, a bit earthy; light colored caramel flavor, moderately sweet, resiny hops. Not very bright.

At 9+% alcohol, it’s hard not to like this beer. So like it is what I did... like, not love.

fiery1 (1844) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 5, 2017
650ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a light copper colour with a tiny white head. Nose is somewhat vegetal and earthy. Flavour is just straight up bitter with not much else. Oh wow, I can’t do this.

Oakes (19697) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 5, 2017
Hazy and tan. Thin head. Has some herbal, earthy hops, though maybe a touch cheesy. Bitter, with a touch of cheese. There’s a touch of orange here, but not a whole lot of nuance. For the style, it’s made ok but lacks any sort of subtlety that might carry a whole bottle across the palate.
