This 2014 version of Pollination is a Golden Ale called Summer Ale. It was hoppy, but magically perfect for a 90 degree Fehrenheit day!

Sure, it is a Golden/Blond Ale, but it also has an unnecessary amount of hops added to it for no good reason.
Sample at the brewpub. Clear bright orange-gold color with a thin white head that diminishes steadily to a dense film. Sticky small patches of lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. chinchill (5343) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 20, 2016
On tap at the brewpub in Eugene, Oregon. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - OCT 6, 2013
Medium amber with excellent clarity and a very good head. Patterned sticky lacing.
As one might expect for a beer made in Oregon, this is a hopped up version of the style. A bit more malt than usual too, assuring that this stays only mildly bitter, and that the hops appear with bready malt flavors.
Medium body and crisp carbonation.
Bottle: Golden, a touch fiery, moderate frothy white head, spotty lacing. Mealy nose, pale breadiness, and cereal. Smooth maltiness up front, mealy, cereal, a little husky graininess comes out towards the back. Smooth mouthfeel. moderate body. Grainy finish, a bit of dirty straw/hay. Mild sweetness, not as much as I thought for a Honey Ale. Tiz okay, but could do without the huskiness of this one. In other words, could be cleaner. Reid (2649) - Salem, Oregon, USA - JUL 5, 2013

pours a golden yellow with a small yet persistent pure white head.
Nice honey/malty aromas..buttered biscuits and sweet poppy honey come to mind
Smooth and sweet..indeed honeyish from the malts..i believe there is no real honey in here..OK
Nice mouthfeel actually has substance..unusual for style.
Nice sweet summer ale..would have like to have seen some real honey though
Smells like a mead, looks like lager, tastes like a pale ale. Honey aroma over a orange yellow, and very pale orange body. Restrained hop flavour with stripes of malty and honey sweetness. Alphadelic (2249) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 16, 2012
Got brought a growler of this from the brewpub - a shiny, golden ale with a firm and puffy white head. The nose is sweet and crisp with a definite underlying hop character. There is a wonderfully light and floral character to three itself and the sweet honey plays a real part without ever screaming at you. There are plenty of light, grassy notes and a hint of mango or something bringing a fruity quirk. The finish is definitely on the bitter side, and not short-term either. gracefullypunk (667) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 19, 2010
On tap at the brewery over a month ago. This one smelled and tasted like I imagined it would--like sniffing a honey pot and then eating a spoonful, but with an aftertaste of bitter citrus. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - AUG 13, 2010

Nice golden color, clear with a nice malt aroma light with hops. This was silky smooth and a nice easy drinking beer. Light sweetness from I guess the honey added. Good hot day beer.
On tap at the brewery in Springfield. OR. One of the better ones from the sampler. Smooth on the palate with citrus being the dominanat flavor. A little more hops than the other brews from the brewery and something I would drink again.
