Much better than the Natty Red, at least it was at this sitting. Came in the 9 beer sample flight.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber red with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy pine and earthy grass with a decent amount of bread. Six pack from Winco (labelled as Red Ale @ 6% ABV.) Copper colored body with minimal head. Aroma: malt first, hops second, metallic third. Taste follows in the same fashion, what the the metallic taste taking over the finish. It’s not huge, but the metallic finish is what you’re left with, and diminishes the whole experience. On tap at the brewery. Hazy orange copper with a two-finger off-white head and nice lace. Aromas are toast, nuts and a light hop fruitiness. Lightly hazed reddish amber with a mdoerate beige covering that retains well.
Nose is caramel malt, light pine, earthy hop, blood orange.
Taste compriss caramel malt, candied fruit peel, red grapefruit, mineral rinse.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness.

Appearance: average-sized, creamy, off-white initial head with good lacing and mostly lasting longevity. Clear, dark-amber body.
Taste: moderately bitter, grapefruit initial flavor and finish with average duration.
Palate: medium-to-full bodied with dry texture and soft carbonation.
