Much better than the Natty Red, at least it was at this sitting. Came in the 9 beer sample flight.

deyholla (12021) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 3, 2016
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber red with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy pine and earthy grass with a decent amount of bread. Flavor has earthy grain and earthy grass with a hint of pine underlying.

Six pack from Winco (labelled as Red Ale @ 6% ABV.) Copper colored body with minimal head. Aroma: malt first, hops second, metallic third. Taste follows in the same fashion, what the the metallic taste taking over the finish. It’s not huge, but the metallic finish is what you’re left with, and diminishes the whole experience.

RedSox2004 (1961) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - OCT 24, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Hazy orange copper with a two-finger off-white head and nice lace. Aromas are toast, nuts and a light hop fruitiness. Toasted malt flavors up front with cereal, nuts and a mild bitterness.Medium bodied and carbonation, sticky mouthfeel and a lingering maltiness in the finish.

Keg at the brewpub, Springfield, 10/11/14. Lightly hazed reddish amber with a mdoerate beige covering that retains well. Nose is caramel malt, light pine, earthy hop, blood orange. Taste compriss caramel malt, candied fruit peel, red grapefruit, mineral rinse. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ok hoppy amber.

Hanuta06 (477) - Washington, USA - JAN 31, 2015
Serving: from tap at Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza. Aroma: moderate pine hop. Appearance: average-sized, creamy, off-white initial head with good lacing and mostly lasting longevity. Clear, dark-amber body. Taste: moderately bitter, grapefruit initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: medium-to-full bodied with dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall: a bit too bitter.

Part of a flight at the brewery with Dadbra. Sorry to compare to NB, but this is like a hoppy Fat Tire. Nice grapefruit tendencies, with a funny kinda phenolic clove dimension that came out of nowhere. Interesting.

Floral aroma, light copper color with medium body. Hops take a prominent role, but are held in check with a solid malt bill...
