Bottle pint: Dark ruby red coloured brew with an an fruity taste and a bitter finish. And the label is kind of odd. AndrewC (379) - Canterbury, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2010
Bottle conditioned. Dark mahogany brown colour. Quite high carbonation. Hang on I’m going to go and decant it. Ah, that’s much better. Smells of sour cherries. I wouldn’t believe this was 6%. It tastes so smooth with no alcoholic burn at all. There’s plenty of malt in there with a burnt\toasted malt on the finish. In the front of the mouth there’s nothing much going on. There’s some sweetness but not much; there’s some red fruit but only a hint. There’s also not much hop going on either. It tastes like a toasted best bitter. I’ve had this on cask a number of times over the years and it was much, much better. I’m disappointed with this bottle. planky84 (3388) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2010
Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Toffee, malts, berries, baked apple and pear aromas. Chocolate, caramel, raisins and cloves in the taste. Quite smooth and easy drinking. Gentle bitterness on the palate. Not bad. johndoughty (5521) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2010
Bottle bought from Asda in Folkestone whilst on holiday.Dark brown and slightly dry with a small head. Not a lot of body but enough flavour to make it a pleasant if average example of this style. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - JAN 1, 2010
Bottled. Reddish amber colour, mediumsized beige fluffy head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is fruits, parfume and some mild notes of sour wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, wooden, mildly yeasty along with some herbal and mildly grainy notes as well.

Bottle. Clear and subdued ruby red with little to no head, just a fine layer of beige carbonation. Chocolate, raisin & berry and a hint of oak & alcohol on the nose. Quite nutty yet fruity flavours - berry and raisin - with some chocolate and alcohol and a roasty, slightly smokey finish. Lightly warming, medium body with a lasting dry nutty & roasted bitterness and a fruity aftertaste. Gary (2054) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2009

I do like a Hopdaemon, but found this a bit muddy. Sweet and malty, but a bit too grainy for me. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2007
A Sim rate (bottle at Chris O’s Shindig): Smell and flavour of apple - green apple according to Shane. Slightly bitter finish. MiP (15962) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 20, 2006
Bottle, 6%. Malty aroma, a bit sweet hoppiness. Cloudy dark amber colour. The flavour has a spicy hoppiness and the aftertaste a roasted bitterness.
