Cask at Dover Beer Festival. I am a self confessed fan of this brewery and this beer bears all the hallmarks of why I like it. Really interesting malts and a good agressive hop flavour. Sweetish malt with good fruit leads to a big satisfying finish. As you can tell I am a big fan

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2017 500ml bottle (Ales By Mail) (6:4:7:3:13=3.3)
Sweet watery lemony malty aroma. Lovely resiny toffee malts and nuts in the taste. Watery palate, a bit dead, but a pleasant sweetening heft, some roast, chocolate hints. Finish of resiny strong English ale, some nuttiness and wood. Seems like a great 8% beer that's been watered down to 6%. Decent enough, though.

Bottle @ home. Dark red-brown color, small off-white head. Smell sweet and lightly alcoholic. Taste toasted malts, some roastyness. A bit odd.

Bottle, 6%. Malty aroma, a bit sweet hoppiness. Cloudy dark amber colour. The flavour has a spicy hoppiness and the aftertaste a roasted bitterness.

Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Asda, Brighton Marina. Chestnut with white head. Rich malty beer, alcohol, plenty of biscuity notes, some chocolate roasty notes. Pretty reasonable.
