pivnizub (10614) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JAN 21, 2012
Bottle: Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, stable off-white foamy layer, robust sweetish-fruity (dried fruits) nose with a robust hoppy background; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; becomes drier in the fruity-hoppy finish. Nice and pleasant.....

JorisPPattyn (9982) - Ursel, BELGIUM - SEP 29, 2004
Fully hazy orange-amber; amber-yellow head, irregular, fast dwindling. Perfumed, vanilla, cardemom peel nose. Touch smoked flavour, tobacco-ashes. Quite some hops, not exactly the best IMO. Lots of malt, giving some (bitter) chocolate in the finish + more tobacco. Medium bodied. Mineral water feel, refreshing despite the dark malts. Nice beer, but only a Brit would call a 6% ABV beer a "strong" ale...

A slightly sweet red-brown beer. Fruity and nutty. The aroma isn’t very distinctive. Some bitterness on the finish. Pleasant, but not very imposing for a strong ale. Cask (gravity), White Cliffs Festival, February 2005.
