Bottled. Reddish brown. Raspberry aroma. Malty and fruity, sweet and port-like with salty, bitter finish.

chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2005
A slightly sweet red-brown beer. Fruity and nutty. The aroma isn’t very distinctive. Some bitterness on the finish. Pleasant, but not very imposing for a strong ale. Cask (gravity), White Cliffs Festival, February 2005.

MiP (16055) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 20, 2006
Bottle, 6%. Malty aroma, a bit sweet hoppiness. Cloudy dark amber colour. The flavour has a spicy hoppiness and the aftertaste a roasted bitterness.

Sample at ÖÖWF 2012. Sweet and malty smell and taste with some caramel. Fairly mild but full body and very drinkable.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2017 500ml bottle (Ales By Mail) (6:4:7:3:13=3.3)
Sweet watery lemony malty aroma. Lovely resiny toffee malts and nuts in the taste. Watery palate, a bit dead, but a pleasant sweetening heft, some roast, chocolate hints. Finish of resiny strong English ale, some nuttiness and wood. Seems like a great 8% beer that's been watered down to 6%. Decent enough, though.

Nisse666 (8153) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 13, 2013
Sample from bottle at ÖWGBG cons 2013-04-12 AR: caramel, wee bitter oak AP: bronze, wee frothy white head F: fizzy, caramel, butter, wee citric
