Great for an open fire on a cold winters night. Not overly hopped and is better served slightly warm. A great ale! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Lidl, Longford [100617]
Copper, clear, small head dissipating to nothing like a cider
Aroma of light citrus hops, caramel malts, light fruity malts
Taste of fruity caramel malts, touch of citrus, light bread, brown malt fruits
Palate - Soft carbonation which quickly dissipated away, flat and thin, light sweet fruity malts. FInish is a bit dry, then some sweet soft fruity caramel malt
Overall - Iffy bottle, flat as a pancake, not right

0.5l bottle. Malty aroma, caramel notes, matured fruits. Clear amber color, white head. Malty taste, caramel notes, medium bitter. Medium to full body, slick texture, average carbonation and malty bitter finish. Ok.

An English IPA with bitter hops and some malt. It was good, but I have had better. It lacked a complexity of flavour that you get in the better versions of this.

Bottle. Copper in colour. Hoppy; grassy spicy hops. Fruity; citrus-fruit. Malty; sweet malts, caramel, hint of toffee. Refreshing, crisp, nice dryness, some saltiness. Nice balance; sweet malty with bitter hop. Dry lingering bitter finish. But not too bitter. Tasty. Very drinkable. (2010-01)

Nurmis (674) - Oulu, FINLAND - OCT 8, 2016
0,5l bottle. Pours amber with small diminishing head. Caramel malts with some dark fruits... even notes of roasted malts. Definitely a bitter rather than IPA like it says on the etiquette. Rather good bitter though.

ForlornHope (521) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2016
Bottle at home. Amber in colour with a thin head. Slight aroma of peppery hop. Sweet start, then some bitterness. Sweet malt, some fruit and a dry finish. The hops are definitely there, but this is an underpowered beer.

BeerViking (4779) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2016
Cask gravity at the Ealing beer festival 2016, brown with a fast-settling head, woody nose, toffee malt and earthy bitterness but a bit estery.
