I have a great advantage in that I live close to this brewery, that enables me to get 19L keg fills. This is good as I love this beer, it is just so deep in flavour and after taste. A beer that just keeps on giving!

Bottle from Olinda Cellars. Exceptional, very tasty. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, liquorice. Taste is sweet and bitter, with very long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Black, with a frothy head.

330ml bottle. There is certainly a lot of darkness in the colour with this beer pouring a midnight black and carrying a deep head of an foam that hovers and takes a while to settle. Hops, malt and chocolate are intermingled in the aroma while the flavour is much the same. One of the better black IPA’s I have had.

Davros (3178) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 24, 2012
Pours black with a large, light tan head. Nose shows heavy coffee, along with chocolate, vanilla and the faintest hint of piny hops. Not very BIPA-like but pretty enticing! Very similar flavours, with the addition of an aggressive, piny bitterness in the finish. Nice creamy carbonation. Not particularly hoppy but good nonetheless.

Bottle, 9C. Black with a large beige head. Aroma of nectarines, kumquats, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Lightish bodied, despite large and growing head carbonation is restrained. Plenty of citrus and some stone fruit, caramel, chocolate. Finish is snappily dry and moderately bitter with lingering citrus notes.
