Bottle - pours hazy Amber with a big frothy head. Aroma reminds me of wort, malt and hop in there to. Balanced between the hop and malt, dry malty finish. Creamy palate. Not really an APA. mkel07 (6269) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 21, 2015
Bottle from Beer Cartel 160815. I’m not sure where the name for this beer comes from but it is a very good beer. When poured into the glass there is a super big head of loosely packed foam that takes ages to settle. Strong honey colour with a fair amount of hops in the aroma.a beer that is full of flavour and big bodied with a well balanced hop and malt ratio. hawthorne00 (4072) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 11, 2015
Bottle. Amber with a large white head. Aroma of biscuit, mandarins, vaguely fruity dough. Muddled biscuit and tinned fruit with astringent pineapple and a bit of a plasticy note at the end. Not good. RafeAU (629) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 29, 2015
On tap at Hopdog beerworks tap takeover at the Durham, May 2015. This was a pretty underwhelming pale ale. I should have taken more notes but can do the scores. Niksko (624) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 3, 2015
Pours a dark amber with a fluffy off white head. Nose is toffee, orange, a little pineapple. Flavor is definitely not what I was expecting. I get a bit of acrid almost peaty smoke, caramel, toffee, almost medicinal bandaid, orange marmalade. Finish is reasonably dry, clean bitterness, a bit of citrus peel. It could almost be infected, and I’m still not 100% convinced it isn’t. The peat certainly would have been mentioned. And the chlorophenol type taste is weird too. Carbonation is fine, but this is just a bit off kilter.

Aroma is heavy on yeast and sweet fruits. Smells and tastes like a home-brew. Yeast aroma is so prominent it almost smells like weird a saison or belgian pale ale hybrid. Taste is on the sweet side with toffee and caramelised stone fruit, slight hint of over-ripe tropical fruit, strong yeast, and a dirty bitterness. A messy one from HopDog unfortunately. From a 330ml bottle on 23/1/2015.Pours an opaque dark golden with almost no head. Has a fairly strong yeasty fruity nose.Take a sip and you get biscuity malt, lots of sweet citrus fruit and yeast, with a sharp, firm, quite dry bitterness, featuring a touch of grapefruit. Medium bodied and this bottle at least was a touch under-carbed. A bit of a mixed bag really - a bit rough but has a fair bit of character. mezwebb (7) - - JAN 10, 2015 does not count
Fruity goodness with malty overtones.. Thick textures : bought at beer cartel motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 13, 2014
on tap at my old local - the union in newtown. amber with not much of a head but that’s to be expected in australia. big fruity aroma - grapefruit and passionfruit; good hit of bitterness, crisp, fresh and zesty. probably would ffit in to the new session ipa category pretty nicely. very impressive for an australian brewery ShaneJ (898) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 20, 2012
Growler fom brewery. Hazy orange/amber, minimal head, aroma of ripe pineapple, pine, some bready malt. Full body, good balance of malt/hops, quite nice, easy drinking, very moorish.
