The first pour was all light tan frothy that slowly settled out to a hazy dark coppery brown colour. Each subsequent pour/top up also produced a big head. Lacing was OK. Aroma of caramel plus a slight underlying sourness. Taste with a slight sourness, sweetish caramel and possible hints of roast. Light to medium body. Dry with a lingering unpleasant tartness on the finish. Not very nice. Dervock (1421) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 21, 2015
Bottle - pours burnt copper with a big beige head. Aroma is lemon citrus, bit soapy, slight sour note too. Taste is a bit unbalanced, big hop hit up front, then some caramel and a dry finish. Medium palate. varanid99 (1317) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 1, 2015
Cloudy copper/red pour with a big light orange head. Malty, brown sugar, slightly funky dark fruit aroma. Taste was fruity, toffee, a bit of stone fruit and slightly bitter. Niksko (624) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 2, 2015
Pours a muddy red with a frothy off white head. Nose is orange, caramel, a little stewed peach and plum, passionfruit. Flavor is caramel and bright, zesty, almost lemon juice like citrus. Passionfruit, bready toasted notes, plum, raisin, and almost a smokey note on the finish. Medium body, prickly carbonation. Certainly an interesting and complex mix of flavors for a what is basically a red IPA. Really good. Malrider69 (173) - Central Coast, AUSTRALIA - JUL 2, 2015
Pours a re/deep amber colour. The aroma is of grass and pine and the flavour is moderately bitter and medium lasting on the palate. A pleaseant sessionable beer.

On tap at Hopdog beerworks tap takeover at the Durham, May 2015. This was a slightly sour red hoppy ale, enjoyable. I’m not sure it’s meant to have the sour notes, reading the description (and the hopdog India saison alongside was definitely contaminated), but it worked well enough for me. mezwebb (7) - - JAN 9, 2015 does not count
Deep red colour, malty, no foam, pleasant flavours - not too much of a kick, faint aroma floydian1 (1479) - FNQ, Australia, - DEC 30, 2014
Bottle (330ml, bottled in Sept 14). Hazy reddish brown with a decent beige head and a few precipitates at the bottom. Nose provides strong biscuity malt aromas with notes of burnt sugar, dark fruits, and a hint of coffee. Palate is deliciously smooth and malty with a decent fruity dry hop finish that satisfies. Medium body and carbonation. A fine hoppy amber ale. vinhol (344) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 4, 2014
