Hazy golden with a big white head. Wheaty yeasty aroma with the usual banana and slightly unusual citrus. Taste is typical weizen, Body is a bit thin for a weizen. Overal very drinkable but there are numerous better weizen out there.

On tap at The Schoolhouse, Battersea. 05/08/16. Aroma - sweet FA. Yeasy? Pale gold, bordering on a hazy yellow. Fluffy white head. Looks like it’ll be a great beer... however for me the ’helle’ element comes in to play. Initially quite interesting due to the carbonation from the head, but then that’s it. Watery and flat. Initiap sourness, before a sweetness comes through. The weisse equivilant of a pale ale:( olsvammel (7292) - Örebro, SWEDEN - JUL 25, 2016
Bottle from a bottle shop in Hamburg. Fruity smell with the typical wheat beer aromas like foam banana, also a light spicy aroma. Similar taste. Slightly sweet in the finish. Nice and very drinkable.

Hazy yellow with a hint of green and little white head. Aroma is soap (bubblegum?) Yeast and some light fruits. Taste is better: much carbonation induced sourness with a little fruity sweetness. Mouthfeel is spicy bubbly with medium body. Medium finish with more yeast. Overall a little worse than average. Not my favourite. Taboada (1479) - Compostela (Galiza), SPAIN - MAY 30, 2016
500 mml bottle tasted on the 28/05/2016. Hazy yellow colour with thick white head. Aroma of banana, yeast and intense citric fruits. Taste is yeast, grain and again citric. Aftertaste is medium sweet and dry. Next one please! sound67 (784) - Offenbach, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2016

Beer: Hopf Helle Weiße (bottled, 500ml) ***
Style: Hefeweizen (cloudy wheat) ***
ALC.VOL.: 5.5% ABV ***
"Typical in its wheat beer aroma, this classic wheat beer has a slightly fruity taste, is golden yellow in colour and a light yeast haze, topped by a fine head. Its unique character is thanks to Hopf’s own pure yeast culture." [brewery notes] ***
Colour: Bright hazy yellow, with a big, fluffy white head. ***
Aroma: Lemon(!), clove, ripe banana. ***
Texture: Medium body, not fizzy at all, slightly oily indeed. Moderate carbonation. ***
Taste: Fruity at first, mildly sweet: Banana, lemon, sweetish yeast. Spicier towards the middle, still a bit sweet but lemony, too. Yeasty finish, only very mild bitterness, but a bit of refreshing sourness. Medium-long aftertaste of yeast and lemon. ***
Impressions: Eminently drinkable traditional German wheat beer with strong fruit and yeast flavours. Very smooth, but not devoid of character. Without a doubt one of the best Hefeweizens I’ve tried. Of course, wheat beers vary less in taste than other beer styles.
Cloudy, yellow colored, strong white puffy head, long lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is of wheat, strong banana bread and then cloves, bit citric. Taste is medium sweet malt and wheat, banana bread, bit fruity, lighter cloves, bready yeasty finish, light+ citric acid. Medium- bodied, average+ carbonation, bit creamy. Good one! (bottle, Hol’AB! Hannover)
Light aroma of wheat, banana, vanilla and some citrus. Pours opaque light golden liquid with a dense white head that damps the aroma quite a bit. Sweet taste with light sourness, the initial taste is pleasent with some light banana and fruity notes but the finish is kind of lemony sour and dry with some yeast and clove notes. Full, smooth body with average carbonation and a dry finish, high drinkability. Even though I criticized the taste, this is not a bad Hefeweizen at all, it certainly has a unique character, rather yeasty and not as wheat-intensive as a typical Hefeweizen. I’ll also have to give credit to the very thick, smooth texture and the light, honey-like colour of the beer.
