Typical in its wheat beer aroma, this classic wheat beer has a slightly fruity taste, is golden yellow in colour and a light yeast haze, topped by a fine head. Its unique character is thanks to Hopf’s own pure yeast culture.

Bottle. The pour was a medium golden amber with an average (1-2 finger) white fizzy head that dissipated at a good steady pace down to a very light film and a small collar, which did allow for some light streaky lacing. The aroma was of a grain malt and a light musty yeast with notes of citrus (lemon), banana, pineapple and a touch of coriander. The taste was sweetly acidic throughout and had a sweet-tart pineapple flavor early on, then a yeasty tart fruity taste slowly but surely took over with notes of banana and citrus and a light hint of spice making their presence known towards the finish. The flavor hung around for an average time after consumption with a tart fruity yeast flavor left lying on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was right in the middle of light and medium in body with a watery and slightly dry texture and a lively carbonation. Overall an extremely flavorful brew, with great body and nice drinkable feel. I definitely see me drinking this one again...

25-06-17 // 500ml bottle. Quite light yellow cloudy beer, great white head. Nose is fruity. Taste of creamy banana, some spices, fruitiness. Simple but very well brewed Weizen!

gift from Kyle in Germany - thanks! --- Aroma of wheat and light spice. Hazy dirty light amber color, off-white head, lace stripes. Taste is wheat that adds spice and light hops in a highly carbonated, long, satisfying finish. I can see why some raters like this so much - it’s a very good example of the style. Very nice light brew.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2017 Gets the essence of what weizen should be, nothing special though. Somehow very popular everywhere, no idea why.

500 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. The aroma is lightly yeasty with some banana and hints of cloves. Medium watery body with a lively carbonation and a light sweetness. The flavor is fruity (pears) and lightly spicy (cloves). Rather simple and straight forward Weißbier.

Hazy dark yellow colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour are very fresh. There’s a light citrus peel element. The banana esters are very low keeping the sweetness down.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2017 Vom Flasche from Fritze getranke, Wurzburg. Hazy orangey hue, nice head, but could be bigger. Big yeasty aroma, bready, spicey. Lots of carbonation, banana, some chalkiness. Finish is sweet banana and wheat. Nice weißbier.

Fruchtig frischer Antrunk, leichter hefiger Körper, der eine leichte Fruchtsäure aufweist, fast keine Banane. Wenig Hopfen im Abgang, aber gut süffig und erfrischend.

L: -pours a cloudy bright golden with a medium, foamy, white head -medium to high carbonation visible S: -Banana,wheat bread, pineapple, lemon, clove T: -banana,pineapple carbonation -light body O: A solid, classical-german Hefeweizen that gets a bit too grainy and light on the finish.
