3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a relatively clear gold with a medium sized white head. Soft citrus and musk on the nose, sweet yeast. Medium bodied, sweet and musky, soft musk, a bit of warming alcohol. Slow musk and warming alcohol into the finish, more musk. Tasty.

On tap at Station Ho.st (Montreal). Pours blond (slightly hazy) with medium white head, fully diminishing. Some white lacing. Aroma features Belgian yeast and citrus as well as hints of acidity. Taste: Belgian and saison yeast, hops, citrus. Very pleasant bitterness. Some acidity in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, light carbonation. Good, refreshing saison, although nothing spectacular.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
My Bottom Line:
Pears, tropical fruit, honey and lightly peppery spice coalesce in this perfectly cohesive Belgian-style Blond Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the misty golden shine.
-The malts are perfectly developed, the esters sit upon them harmoniously, and the hops add that fruity/spicy touch which make everything gel. Beautiful 3-tier balance, a rare occurence these days.
-Drinkability is optimal.
-Carbonation is soft yet ample.
On tap at Station Ho.st.

2015-02-14. Crisp dark yellow body with a nice creamy off white head and lace. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly spiced, with an interesting melange of florals and fruit notes. Touches of lemon. Flavour is moderately bitter throughout, touches of lemon and notes of a not quite peppery spice character. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. On tap at Station Host, Montreal.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
En fût aux BDT à Gatineau.
Un nez super agrume (on dirait une IPA) et d’herbes fraiches. Assez typique d’une saison.
Blonde / paille, petite mousse, assez dense, petite dentelle.
Très rafraichissante au gout. Un houblonnage assez complexe, amère; de petits accents terreux, des herbes fraiches, une finale sèche de houblons gazonneux. Superbe complexité de houblons. Beaucoup de saveurs. Très plaisante à boire.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A blonde saison with a thin lacing frothy white head. In aroma, spiced fruity malt with light incense notes, coriander, curacao, very fragrant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of orange pulp, coriander, pepper notes, and Belgian hops. Very good. On tap at brewery.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: A doughy and very hoppy blonde Saison.
How: Tap at Station Ho.st (Hopfenstark Montreal taproom).
The look: Opaque yellow-blonde body topped by a medium white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is very hop-forward for a Saison, fruity esters blending with fruity hops to create a complex fruity aroma. In mouth the beer feels thick and chewy with a lively carbonation. Taste starts with very doughy and dry cereals, a light dusty and sawdust sensation, fruits flesh. This lasts an entire 0.5 second and then the more-than-generous hopping takes over leading to a dry fruity bitterness with a sandy character. Drinking craftbeer makes me happy, but sometimes I think I would be even happier by exercising and eating healthy and being in shape just to piss off my ex-girlfriends.
