Bouteille 500 mL. Brune semi-translucide.

On draft at brewery, it was ok, at flat which sucks, but strong brownie flavors you come to expect from a bourbon aged porter

Sample at Prohibition Pig, Pours brown with thin head, light lacing. Notes are sour barrel, smoked malt, wood, bourbon and red wine. Medium to fuller bodied, smooth. I’m not sure if this was supposed to be this sour but its interesting.

Tap at Winter Warmer: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a small foamy head. Aroma of lightly sweet roasted malt notes with intense nose of bourbon. Taste is a great mix between sweet roasted malt notes with some nice vanilla and typical bourbon notes. Light wood notes are also detectable. Body has a nice creamy texture with full body and no apparent alcohol even though bourbon is very easily noticeable. I really like that one and would love to have this on a regular basis.

A dark reddish brown porter with a very thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a smooth bourbon chocolate malt with light alcohol warmth, doughy. In mouth, a smooth chocolate with light bourbon notes, quite nice. On tap at Montreal Winter Warmer, Feb. 25 2012.

Winter warmer 2012.

On tap at the Ginger Man during their Hopfenstark event. Pours a deep black to brown with a thin beige to tan head. Spicy bourbon, wood, deep dark fruit. Sweet bourbon, fruit, toast, roast and chocolate. Sweet and malty, toast. Chewy fruit, roast and chocolate, sweet, roast and wood. Yummy and awesome.

Draft @ ginger man NYC. Black pour with tan head. Cherry, fruit and wine, almost port like, some oak and muted whiskey notes as well on top of the chocolate and roasted malt porter. Sweeter and fruitier than i thought it would be.
