quelquechose19 (27) - - MAR 13, 2013
Des arômes de café, de chocolat et de réglisse noire. Des saveurs de chocolat et de malt rôti avec des notes de café et de vanille et très peu d’amertume. Un délicieux porter qui se boit facilement. Un autre produit Hopfenstark à découvrir.

Ernest (7695) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 25, 2017
Draft. Head is small, mostly diminishing. Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, caramel, coffee), with notes of vanilla, toffee, blackberry, anise. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation. Very savory and aromatically pleasant! A little short of 4+ bliss, but quite solid.

Stoned99 (1552) - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 3, 2016

Taste and palate: full body, creamy, smooth, medium sweetness, some figs in mouth, light bitter finish. Overall: good but kinda sweet. Like the fig. Not too much candied fruits.

Bottle - Chocolate, dark fruit and raisin. Deep jet brown with a decent light brown head. Dark sweet chocolate and dark fruit. Nice and slick on the palate. Nice beer.

DuffMan (10429) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 12, 2014
Bottle, corked & caged, shared with Robbie. Very gassy pour, nearly a gusher, dark brown, massive head. Acetic sourness and dark fruits, light leather. I’m certain this is infected, but the sour porter character really works for me.

750 ml bottle. Pours a dark, cloudy, brown-red tinted black with a resilient beige head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, figs, earth. Flavor is chocolate, hazelnut, creamy mocha, vanilla, smoked, woody. Finish is alcohol warmth, a dash of salt. Lingering sweet chocolate. Thick body, soft mouthfeel, weak carbonation. Solid.

AwaKe (298) - Laval, CANADA - SEP 8, 2013
En fût à l’Oktoberfest des Québécois 2013. Couleur brun foncé, légère mousse brune. Odeur et goût dominé par le chocolat et les noix. Juste assez d’amertume, semblable à un café moka. Onctuosité intéressante. Bon produit.
