Pours cola with a slight ruby tinge with no head or lacing. Nose is figs and brown sugar, almost like a date square. Notes of molasses, espresso, roasted cereal. Taste is medium sweet low bitterness. 750 ml bottle. Pours a dark, cloudy, brown-red tinted black with a resilient beige head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, figs, earth. Flavor is chocolate, hazelnut, creamy mocha, vanilla, smoked, woody. Poured out a dark brown with a solid red hue, large, frothy light brown cap that sticks around quite nicely and produces some dissipating spots but on a new pour the lacing is thick and dirty looking and glues itself to the glass. Very sweet aroma - too sweet, caramel, vanilla, coconut, dates, tons of sweetness throughout and it seems to be gaining ground. The taste is also sweet very sweet with a hint of alcohol.. just a hint, caramel, odd chocolate, medium roast, vanilla, light spice, coconut, brown sugar, weak molasses. Glass, on tap at Host and Vice-Versa. Poured pitch black with a medium creamy brown head. Awesome look. Good head retention, leaves great lacing. Aroma is chocolate, strong roasted malt and caramel. Taste is roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Finish is quite roasted. Mouthfeel is creamy. medium carbonation. It is my best porter so far. Draught. Very dark brown with a small brown ring of head. Solid aroma - oaky, smoke, raisin sugars, and plum. Medium body that has a good dose of sweetness but is never overwhelming. There’s some toffee and roast fluffiness and finishes with a nice malt bitterness. Very good.

Brun foncé aux reflets rougeâtres, une mousse qui veut, mais ne peut durer. Elle bave uniformément. Des arômes de torréfaction et de miel de sarrasin semblent prendre les devants. C’est très étrange, mais des senteurs de "putty" pour boucher la rouille sur un vieux char m’envahissent le nez. Ça sent plutôt bon lorsqu’on connaît le produit, sauf que c’est assez chimique. Un goût sucré qui s’apparente à la cassonade foncée ou encore des bonbons au beurre. L’alcool a un rôle de soutient. La bouche passablement remplie de tout ce qui en sort. 500 ml bottle- A decided deep opaque black, with a frothy mocha cap, with nice lace. Smokey chocolate aroma with coffee and lactic qualities, and a bit of herbal hops. Sweet molasses and dark chocolate meet bittering hops, but the molasses is too much for me. Syrupy and sweet beyond my liking, but with an enjoyable smokey roasty finish that only has a touch of funky sourness. Ok.
