Draft at Hopfenstark Station Ho.st, Montreal. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Taste is citrus, caramel, tea and pine. More malty than the average APA, but decent.

(cask) cloudy yellow colour with a tall white head; aroma of citrus; dry flavour with a long, medium bitter finish

Sampled at Bières et Saveurs. Aroma: strong grapefruits, caramel, light citrus. App: hazy copper, small off frothy white head, great lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, watery, light sweetness, light bitter finish. Overall: too malted and sweet for me. Way too sweet. Old school ipa. Would have been ok on 2004. Not so much in 2016.

On tap at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. It’s an unclear, dark golden colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. Caramel-malty nose with some wort and bread, and some piney, citrusy hops. It’s medium bodied, soft and nicely carbonated, with a decent bitterness. Citrusy, lightly grassy hops on a backdrop of bready, caramel-ish malts. Soft bitter finish with citrus notes and too much malt flavors, just like in the aroma and the initial flavor. Else it’s a fine and flawless brew. 150611

October 20, 2013 - gravity cask at Cask Days 2013. Orange pour, cloudy, with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma and taste of pineapple, mango, citrus zest with emerging pine bitterness - very smooth, minimal alcohol presence; solid body, decent cask carbonation, borderline sweetness never emerges after the slow-building medium bitter finish kicks in - good beer.

Pours hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus and grape. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long malty, caramel, citrus and grape finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
