June 10, 2014 - at Station HOST - on draught. Clear oily-looking gold with a solid creamy/foamy white head. Aroma of spice, light fruit, mild alcohol. Aroma and taste are light lemon and citrus zest, mild fresh grain, light alcohol - very simple and appealing, just a little fruity, fairly dry really - solid solid stuff. Light body and acidity, airy, finishes crisp with very little linger - just a whispery tingle. Love this beer.

On tap at the bar. Pours a clear glowing gold with a medium sized white head. Soft musky lemon with a touch of citrus behind it. Medium bodied, vibrant and musky wheat with a touch of alcohol. Soft and smooth, with the vaguest hints of warming alcohol as it moves to a soft gently bitter and yeasty finish. Very nice stuff.

(1231-110914)

On tap at Station Ho.st (Montreal). Pours clear orange with soapy white head and some lacing. Aroma of hops, belgian yeast, spices, and a bit of alcohol. Spicy and sweet. Lacks some bitterness, but overall it is a fairly good saison.

On tap @ Ho.sT. Slightly hazy yellow/golden with a medium white head and heavy lacing. Aroma is quite herbal with light spiciness, fruity notes, grains and a nice rustic presence. Taste is grassy with honeyed cereals, light spiciness, rustic notes and nice fruitiness. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Quite on style. Not too spicy. Good balance. Simple, yet effective, tasty and quenching.

Tap at HO.ST. Beautiful golden-straw coloured pour. Light haze and a rocky/sticky head. The aroma is great - intensely fruity and spicy with a minty/honeyish cooling note. Fresh grass and a complex spice and fruit flavour. Lovely and tart with apple/pear and a long herbal finish. Awesome.

Station ho.st, Montreal tap: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is spicy, a bit funky, some fruitiness. Taste has a light sweetness. Nice, light hop bitterness. Plenty nice funk and good spiciness. This isn’t a mind-blowing saison, but as the name would imply, this is a good representation of the style.

[Draught at Station Ho.st, Montreal] Pours a deep golden-orange with an average size lasting white head and lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is yeasty, sweet and herbal along with some light hops and spices. Dry, herbal and yeasty flavour along with some spices and light hops in the finish. Medium bodied. Solid, Fred knows how to do Saisons.
