Another good saison. Past month started off with a series of bad Ontario saisons and finished with trying some great Quebec stuff. Smells fruity, fermented orange juice. Wild yeast. Pours cloudy blond. Taste has some tartness. Bottle from Peluso.

Pours a cloudy light straw yellow with a small white top. Aroma is spicy rye, yeast, a little hop. Taste is a nice warming dry, spicy rye, yeast and a great bready malt profile. Slight hop bitterness in the aftertaste.

deyholla (11759) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 7, 2012
On tap. Pours a hazy amber gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has sweet grains and citrus up front with a nice complexity added by the backing rye and Belgian yeast. Flavor begins with sweet citrus and grains with a hint of flora and backed by rye and Belgian yeast.

Pours orange with a big foamy head that fades to a nice light off-white covering with lots of lacing. Nose is big floral with some grapefruit as well. Mouth has orange, maybe some lemon and then a little bit of a spicy finish. Some sour in the middle as well. Light-ish body with strong carbonation.

Bottle 750 ml Pours hazy amber with medium white head. Aroma: fruits, bubblegum, belgian yeast, rye, hops.Taste: some spices, fruits, malts, slight sweetness, sourness, slight bitter finish. Complex and well balanced. Oily texture. Some acidity. This one is very enjoyable, but not totally on style. A little heavy for a saison.

Bottle 750 ml. Hazy golden/orange with a small fully lasting white head and fair lacing. Aroma of belgian yeast, bubblegum and fruits. Flavor is medium sweet with spices, fruits, citrus and malt. Slight bitter finish. Mouthfeel is oily and acidic. Medium to full body. Interesting Saison and really enjoyable but medium drinkability due to sourness and heavy body.
