Pours a hazy dark yellow-brown with a small amount of white head that lingers for a while. Smell is fairly sweet, with some vanilla, some spice, and maybe a hint of funk. Palate is medium bodied with good carbonation. Taste is a bit weird, this is much more of a tripel than a belgian saison. Quite sweet at first then follows with a bit of bitter and a bit of sour, the aftertaste is slightly better and balanced with sweetness. Interesting overall, but not really what I think when I hear "rye saison."

Can. Pours hazy bright orange with small foamy off-white head, sweet citrus aroma, low carbonation, slightly salty medium bitter orangey taste, smooth body, long earthy finish.Interesting brew.

On tap at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. A hazy, pale golden beer with an off-white head. A tad weak aroma, pleasant though, with peaches, pine cones and some sugary and bready malt hints. Soft on the palate, dry and full-bodied, with a fruity, lightly sugary flavor. Bitterness, peaches and pine cones, as well as a faint touch of peppery yeast. A bit boring this one, think I prefer Station 55, as that one’s a bit more pronounced all the way. 150611

750ml bottle shared with brother in law. Aroma: rye, cereals, lemon, spices and a tiny bit wild. App: hazy golden orange with lots of unappealing particules in suspension. Taste and palate: medium body, lively carbonation, light dry bitter finish. Overall: Not like all those wild and brett out there these days but q good representation of the style. Good.

[email protected] Lambic, Brussels. Hazy orangeish fruity colour with some floral and mildly wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, wome berbal, wooden and mildly funky notes to it. Mild sourish and bittery notes in the finish.

TET (3177) - Kaarina, FINLAND - JUL 11, 2015
A good-looking beer, a slightly orange and dark yellow, a head is very big and blond. Aroma has fruitness of perries, lemon, some flowers, hint of dry earthyness. Taste is quite dry, some grain, fruitness, spicyness and earthyness, also some bitterness. Medium bodied, fresh as a good saison have to be. Good and balanced beer, also complex.

On tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels - BE. Color: clear blond beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: nice grain, rye notes and well balanced with grassy sour notes. Very nice! :). Taste: as the nose the balance is really amazing. Domination of the grain with a good expression of the sour notes. Finish as floral. Aftertaste: rye and sour. Saison finish.
