A good-looking beer, a slightly orange and dark yellow, a head is very big and blond. Aroma has fruitness of perries, lemon, some flowers, hint of dry earthyness. Taste is quite dry, some grain, fruitness, spicyness and earthyness, also some bitterness. Medium bodied, fresh as a good saison have to be. Good and balanced beer, also complex. Draught (6 oz. sample) at Vices et Versa, Montreal. Hazy golden colour. Lovely aroma of herbs, apricot, and an odd hint of whiskey - probably from the rye. Flavour is quite herbal as well, with notes of orange and lemon, a faint yeasty funkiness, and a hint of pepper in the finish. Very nice! blankboy (7735) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 15, 2008

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil: Cloudy golden with an off white dense film of head. The aroma has some underlying rich bready malts- lightly sweet mild apricot notes- dryish/chalky phenols. Thick creamy carbonation. The flavor mixes spicy phenols & fruit skin bitterness. Light apricot/softly sweet- light bread crust and preserves followed by a light noble peppery presence and residual spicy phenols to dry it out. A nice, dry Saison. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 18, 2012

Bottle 750 ml. Hazy golden/orange with a small fully lasting white head and fair lacing. Aroma of belgian yeast, bubblegum and fruits. Flavor is medium sweet with spices, fruits, citrus and malt. Slight bitter finish. Mouthfeel is oily and acidic. Medium to full body. Interesting Saison and really enjoyable but medium drinkability due to sourness and heavy body. On tap. Pours a hazy amber gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has sweet grains and citrus up front with a nice complexity added by the backing rye and Belgian yeast. Flavor begins with sweet citrus and grains with a hint of flora and backed by rye and Belgian yeast.
