UPDATED: SEP 12, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. This beer won gold in 2007 at GABF, so I had to have it. Pours a dark brown with a medium cream colored head. The aroma is sweet toast and some honey. The taste is a great example of a English-style mild; roasted coffee and a strong toasted malt, also, some bitterness in the finish. Really well made. Smooth and easy, but also damn tasty. A great job.

Big thanks to douglas88 for the growler of this top notch Mild Ale. It pours dark brown with amber hues and tan head. The aroma has a touch of earthiness to go along with some malt roast and the faintest sense of hoppiness. I get both malts and roast in the initial pulse of flavor. Those notes are followed by a fairly deep dark earthiness to midway. Into the finish the earthiness begins to recede leaving a pleasing malts roastiness, a touch of dryness and a sense of vague hop bitterness. The after taste has roast and just a bit of chocolate malts. Very nice.

Growler thanks to Douglas. Pours out a brownish red topped with a tan head. Aroma was actually pretty nice. Light toasted nut and some malts. Taste was more of the nuts and a good bitterness. I was very surprised by this 4% Utah brew.

Growler thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a tan head and a deep brown body. Aroma of grain, slight coffee, smoke and nutshells. Taste is husky and decently bitter. Medium bubbles and dry. Not a bad mild.

Growler courtesy of douglas88. Pours brown with a finger length white head. Smells of chocolate, some light spice. Tastes earthy and tea like with some chocolate and light tartness. Some sugary hints on the finish.
