Draft at brewpub. Pours brown with a nice amount of caramel malt on the nose. The taste was a bit bland. I think I’d get bored sessioning this. hellbilly (3306) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - MAR 6, 2011
on tap 7/23/10 and the best beer at hoppers by a long shot.
dark amber with an off white head and a bunch of drippy lace.
it smells like raisins rehydrated in wort!... malt, earth, toasted nuts and hoppy spices.
the flavor is the same... really raisin-y and wort-y with notes of nuts, peppery spice, chocolate, florals and molasses.
medium bodied, highly sessionable and unexpectedly delicious! 7/4/7/4/16/3.8 jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAY 19, 2010

(Growler thanks to bu11zeye) Pours clear brown with some bubbles. Nose is meaty, smoke. Taste unsweet crackers, bland, and pretty nondescript. I enjoyed it, but not sure how to describe this one. travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 27, 2009
Growler thanks to bu11zeye. The look is clear, off white head, and brown in color. The smell is cardboard, coffee, malts, and chocolate. The taste is weak, malts, slight roast, but not that good. BuckeyeBoy (8860) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 22, 2009
Growler thanks to Douglas. Pours out a brownish red topped with a tan head. Aroma was actually pretty nice. Light toasted nut and some malts. Taste was more of the nuts and a good bitterness. I was very surprised by this 4% Utah brew. Rosebud butternuts (2398) - Denton, Texas, USA - OCT 21, 2009
