COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a collaboration with Fanø Brewery on Fano Island in Denmark, we created an Imperial Stout recipe to satisfy our own deepest desires. Brewing it on this picturesque summertime vacation island is how Natasha started, and of course we couldn’t wait to brew it at Hoppin’ Frog! The result is Natasha Rocks America - a rich, hoppy Imperial Stout with the deep-roasted, smooth flavor of Chocolate Rye malt. And, Natasha is generously dry-hopped with the perfect mix of select American hops, adding a great hop character to this super-tasty Imperial Stout collaboration brew.

22 oz. bottle via local trade. Pours a very deep brown with a tan head. Notes of bitter dark chocolate, earth, burnt toast, some rye and pepper, and even some earthy hops in here. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter mouthfeel. The bitter dark chocolate and earthy hops reminded me of the other collaboration imperial stout with Amager. I am not wild about either, but they aren’t bad.

65 cl bottle @ RIP camp
Aroma is rather hoppy with fruits, coffee notes and cocoa. Flavour is messy with hops, fruity notes, some cocoa and salty licorice. Quite unusual with all the hops, but somehow I like this.

650 ml bottle @ RIP camp.
Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, salty licorice, soy sauce and dark chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, soy sauce, lactose, dark chocolate, some bitterness, honey-like sweetness, grapefruit and some mild but noticeable sourness. Medium bodied, oily mouthfeel and a sweet, roasty, creamy finish. Not completely balanced, unfortunately, but still a nice beer.

650ml bottle @ RIP Camp

Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, rye, roastiness, fruity hops, syrup and coffee. Taste is a bit messy with mix of roastiness, sweet fruity notes, fruity hops, rye and berries. Finish is roasty and stingy fruity with notes of rye, berries, chocolate and syrup. Strange and quite unbalanced taste. Nowhere nearly as good as the Fanø’s version.

Pours jet black color with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, rye, some hops, caramel and chocolate. Flavor of chocolate, rye, some oat, cocoa, roasted malts and resinous hops, faint vanilla and distant fruity notes also. Somewhat bitter malty palate. A bit messy, harsh taste.

Bottle at home. Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma is roasted, spicy, some wood, rye and ash. Flavor is bitter, roasted, quite spicy and slightly alcoholic. Decent body and a bit rough, but well drinkable.
