BBD: have to check, but within best before date for sure.
In short: dry roasty ale.
Pours black with little tan head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Roasty, coffe, spicy nose. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is quite dry, moderate bitter, spicy, some viscous mouthfeel.
Bottle. The pour is black with a full head. The aroma is mild overall, but some chocolate and malts. The taste is a malt bomb. Good chocolate and rye flavors. Some hops in the back end and their bitterness is cut by the malt nicely.

Pours almost completely black with a very nice and fluffy tan head that sustains well and leaves great lacing. Aroma of rye bread, chocolate and a hint of soy sauce. Taste has an earthy and spicy rye flavor along with a good deal of roast and only a hint of chocolate. Also get black coffee and a bit of soy sauce. Finished dry with some roasty bitterness. Mouthfeel is semi silky with a medium/full body and moderate/high carbonation. Great looking beer but the soy in the aroma and taste turned me off somewhat. Also wanted more chocolate in the flavor and was a little over carbonated. angel77 (3366) - oviedo, SPAIN - NOV 25, 2014
Jet black color. Nose of chocolate and licorice. Taste follows nose with a hint of the rye spiciness. Mild carbonation with less than advertised hop bite. gam (3924) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 14, 2014
